Between August 17 and 18 of this year, #TeamCOPEG had the privilege of participating in the long-awaited XLII National Livestock Congress, held at the Carolina Convention Center, in the province of Los Santos. Under the motto "profitability of bovine companies in the face of climate change", this event was presented as a crucial meeting point for the sector.

The general objective of this congress was to focus on conveying to attendees the idea of profitability in livestock companies and how to evaluate investments in the midst of the implementation of new techniques and production processes promoted at the regional level. This was addressed without neglecting animal welfare and the protection of ecosystems, highlighting ethics and resilience.

Highlighting the international nature of the congress, participants had the opportunity to attend keynote speeches by experts from Nicaragua, Colombia and Costa Rica. These talks, complemented by quality materials and videos provided by the specialists, addressed advances in areas such as artificial intelligence applied to livestock, and discussed technological innovations, products and machinery in the industry, as well as financing options.

COPEG's booth stood out as usual, attracting the attention of both national and international producers, as well as professionals in the sector. Worthy of mention, we were also visited by prominent national government authorities, including the President of the Republic of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.

This congress was not only an opportunity to establish contacts in the livestock field, but also to highlight the relevance of COPEG in the sector, reinforcing its commitment and presence in events of this magnitude.
