Mass Disposal of Materials and Auction of Used Equipment by the Service Directorate

We continue to uphold our commitment to nature by carrying out a mass disposal initiative at various posts in the province of Darién. The goal was to eliminate unused, obsolete, and damaged assets, as well as collect abandoned recyclable materials, contributing to the conservation of the environment.

The #TeamCOPEG — made up of Michael Martinez, Ruben Gonzalez, Hermogenes Blanco, Roberto Parra, and Benjamín Peralta — actively participated in the initiative. In addition, we had the support of on-site internal staff.

A total of 2,696 kg of recyclable material and 40 unused assets were discarded.

Additionally, we held Auction No. 01-2023, in collaboration with the Finance and SITEL Departments. The auction included 19 lots featuring cell phones, monitors, forklifts, motorcycles, vehicles, ATVs, boats, and refrigerators. As a result, we raised a total of $20,825.20.

Looking ahead, we will continue to seek opportunities to improve our ecological footprint and protect natural resources. The auctioning of new lots of unused equipment will remain part of our strategy to stay at the forefront of environmental responsibility and sustainability.
